How to Make a Bagel Christmas Ornament

Do you know somebody who just loves bagels? Here's a Christmas ornament that's simple to make and guaranteed to get a smile from even the meanest Scrooge.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Drying Screens Or Racks
• Ribbons
• Silk Holly
• Varnish
• White Glues
• Bagels
• Lacquer

1. Buy a plain bagel - day-old, of course!

2. 

   Dip the bagel in clear varnish, Varathane or lacquer. Dry the bagel on a rack, then dip and dry again.

3. 

   Thread a piece of plaid ribbon through the hole in the bagel. Make a loop and tie a bow at the top.

4. 

   Place a sprig of silk holly in the center of the hole. Secure the holly in place with white glue.

5. Hang this unique ornament on your Christmas tree!

• Wrap this up as a gift, or hang it on your Christmas tree in a visible spot. This ornament will last for many holiday seasons to come.
• For a touch of realism, take a bite from the bagel before you dip it in the preservative!
