Use accented characters, not typically found on a keyboard, for foreign words or accents in your web page.

Instructions

    Uppercase Letter A

  1. Step 1

    For the uppercase A with a grave (left-tilting) accent mark, type: À or À.

  2. Step 2

    For the uppercase A with an acute (right-tilting) accent mark, type: Á or Á.

  3. Step 3

    For the uppercase A with a circumflex (roof-shaped) accent mark, type: Â or Â.

  4. Step 4

    For the uppercase A with a tilde (small squiggly line) accent mark, type: Ã or Ã.

  5. Step 5

    For the uppercase A with a umlaut (double-dot) accent mark, type: Ä or Ä

  6. Step 6

    For the uppercase A with a ring (small circle) accent mark, type: Å or Å

  7. Step 1

    Open the page in a text editing program, such as EditPad or Notepad. Place the cursor where the symbol will appear.

  8. Step 2

    Type the appropriate symbol, without using opening or closing tags or tag brackets.

  9. Step 3

    Save the page and open it in a web browser to view the results.
