Instructions

    • 1

Measure the circumference of the widest part of the gun with a 1-inch piece of paper. Cut the paper so that it is 1/2 inch longer than the circumference of the gun.

    • 2

Lay the strip onto a sheet of paper twice as long as the paper strip. Draw a line down the middle of the paper, using a ruler to keep the line straight.

    • 3

Lay the top of the gun along the pencil line. Trace around the outline of the gun. Add a 1/2-inch border around the outline as a seam allowance.

    • 4

Fold the paper in half along the pencil line. Cut out the outline of the gun from the paper.

    • 5

Place the pattern over a piece of leather. Cut the pattern out of leather using a sharp knife.

    • 6

Fold the two sides of the holster together. Punch a hole with an awl every 1/8 inch along the side and bottom of the leather holster.

    • 7

Sew the sides of the holster together with the waxed thread and leather needle by threading the thread through the holes punched into the leather.

    • 8

Cut a rounded rectangle from leather the same width and length as the holster. Cut four vertical slits into the rectangle. Make the slits about 2 inches long and 1/4 inch wide.

    • 9

Glue the top and bottom of the rectangle to the back of the holster. Do not glue the rectangle where the slits are positioned. Allow the leather glue to dry for 24 hours before wearing the holster.
