How to Hook a High-Definition TV to a Cable Box
Cable boxes transmit digital signals that deliver your favorite channels, including local and premium, to your TV. Several of the today's HDTVs are capable of delivering stunning and clear picture quality that can be pleasing to the eye. Many of these TVs come with a few inputs that allow you to transmit high-definition signals using your cable box. Using these HD connections, hooking your HDTV to your cable box takes minutes to complete.

Using HDMI Cable

Connect the RF coaxial cable from the wall to the "CABLE IN" on the back of your cable box.

Connect one end of your HDMI cable into one of the HDMI ports on your cable box, and then connect the other end into an open HDMI port on your HDTV.

Plug your cable box into an electrical outlet and then turn it on. Turn on your TV to view your cable signals.
Using Component Cable

Connect the RF coaxial cable from the wall to the "CABLE IN" on the back of your cable box.

Connect one end of the component cable into the Y Pb Pr ports on the back of your cable box, and then connect the other end of the cable into the Y Pb Pr port on your TV.

Plug your cable box into an electrical outlet and then turn it on. Turn on your TV to view your cable signals.
