How to Make Wi-Fi Work on an EVO
The HTC EVO is a smartphone that features the ability to connect to available secured and unsecured Wi-Fi networks. Before you can use the Wi-Fi on your EVO, however, you will need to activate the Wi-Fi feature and select an available Wi-Fi network for your device to connect to. Once you set up a wireless network on your device, the EVO will automatically connect to the Wi-Fi network in the future.

Tap the Home button on your EVO phone.

Select the "Menu" option.

Tap "Settings," and select the "Wireless and Networks" option.

Select Wi-Fi to activate the Wi-Fi on your device.

Tap the "Wi-Fi Settings" option. This option will appear immediately after you activate your device's Wi-Fi in Step 4.

Select the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to. A list of available Wi-Fi networks will automatically populate on the display of your EVO. Enter the password if attempting to connect to a secured network. Your EVO will automatically connect to the Wi-Fi network and prompt you once the device has established a successful connection. You can now use the Wi-Fi on your EVO device.
