How to Record a Call on a Motorola RAZR

The Motorola RAZR cellphone has a built-in voice recorder that allows you to record your phone conversations. Recording phone calls is often more convenient than attempting to take notes while on the phone. When you record a call, you can give your full attention to the other person on the phone and then play back the recording at a later time and write out your notes.

Instructions

    • 1

Initiate or answer an incoming phone call.

    • 2

Press the "Select" button, which is found in the middle of the arrow buttons.

    • 3

Push the arrow buttons to highlight "Extras," and press the "Select" button.

    • 4

Select "Voice Records" and "New Voice Record."

    • 5

Press and hold the "Voice" button, which is found on the right side of the phone's screen. Continue to hold the button through the phone conversation.

    • 6

Release the "Voice" button to stop recording.

Tips & Warnings

  • The Motorola RAZR beeps at regular intervals when you record a phone call to alert the other participant that you are recording the conversation.

  • Check your state's phone recording laws, and ask the person you're talking to for permission to record the conversation before recording a phone call on your Motorola RAZR.
