How to Close AOL Applications on an iPad
AOL has created applications for iPad, such as AOL Radio and AIM, that allow users to use their services on the iPad. Like all applications on the iPad, after you have finished using an AOL application, pressing the Home button will exit out of the application. However, this action does not close the AOL application. It still runs in the background due to the multitasking feature on the iOS operating system. You need to access the multitasking bar to close the AOL application.

Press the "Home" button twice quickly on your iPad. The Home button is the single button on the bottom of the iPad below the screen. The multitasking bar opens at the bottom of the screen. The bar displays all of the apps currently running.

Scroll through the list of running apps by swiping your finger to the left or right if the AOL application you want to close is not immediately visible.

-
3
Tap the AOL application and hold it until all the apps start to wiggle. A red minus sign appears at the top left corner of each application.
-
4
Tap the minus sign on the AOL application to close the app. The AOL application disappears from the multitasking bar, which indicates that it is no longer running on your iPad.
