Decorations Made From Empty Wine Bottles

While you can simply recycle empty wine bottles, you can put them to better use by taking advantage of their aesthetic shape and colors. With a little creative inspiration, you can turn those empty wine bottles into a variety of decorations.

  • Re-purposing items you have for home decor crafts can save you money. It's also a great way to recycle if you want your decor to be environmentally friendly.

  • Add color to your windows while still letting in plenty of light. Line the window with glass shelves. Arrange rows of wine bottles along the sill and shelves to create a colorful glass curtain.

  • Put a colored candle in the top opening and let it drip, then add a few more candles to create a cascade of rainbow wax. Use the bottle to hold candles or flowers.

  • Dig a shallow, narrow trench around a flower bed. Put your wine bottles in the trench, upside down, so that just the necks of the bottles are below ground. Line them up neatly and fill in the dirt to hold them up. This will create a colorful border around the flowers.
