Antioxidant-Rich Foods
-
Eating foods high in antioxidants can help prevent acne. Antioxidants stop the process of oxidation, which can mean healthier skin. Foods such as blueberries, grapes and pomegranates are especially high in antioxidants. According the Acne Resource Center, olive oil, coconut oil, and sesame oil are high in Vitamin E and are great for topical use on the skin.
Other foods rich in Vitamin A and C are also important to maintain healthy skin. These foods include sweet potatoes, kale, strawberries, olives, oranges, spinach and asparagus. See the resources section for a complete list of foods recommended by Health and Beauty Base.
Fiber-Rich Foods
-
Fiber is important for ridding the body of toxins and clearing up skin problems. Eating whole-grain breads, cereals, rice, and fiber-rich fruit and vegetables---such as apples, blueberries, grapefruit, avocado and kale---will help detoxify your body and clear up your skin.

Water
-
Water is essential for everyday health, and experts recommend drinking at least six to eight glasses of water per day. Water helps your body stay hydrated and cleanses the skin to promote a healthy glow.
