Can You Connect a Video Projector to a Notebook Mini?
Mini notebook computers, or netbooks, are portable devices that have limited memory and don't include disk drives, but you can connect peripherals such as a monitor or LCD projector.

Built-In Devices
-
Netbooks are lighter and have a smaller footprint than standard laptops. Built-in devices such as a webcam, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enhance functionality without increasing weight or bulk.
Specs and Operating Systems
-
Popular netbooks offer a 10-inch screen and up to 1 GB of RAM, processing speeds less than 2 GHz and either limited solid-state drives or hard drives with a capacity comparable to that of laptops. Netbooks run full Windows, Mac or Linux operating systems.
-
Capability
-
Since netbooks run full operating systems, their capacity to run applications and graphics (limited by memory requirements) is similar to that of larger laptops. Peripherals that can be used on a laptop can be used on a netbook.
Considerations
-
Many LCD and video projectors use VGA connections to display images from a computer. Check the netbook's "Video Out" port to see whether it's VGA, HDMI or another type (such as mini display port) and obtain any adapters to connect to a VGA monitor.
Display
-
After connecting the netbook to a projector, check whether the resolution needs to be adjusted (in the Display Control Panel). Toggle the display by holding down the "Fn" key and pressing a function key such as F5 (Windows), F8 (Dell), F1 (Mac) or F7 (Mac).
