What to Wear When Indoor Tanning
Tanning indoors can be a relaxing experience. A few minutes to yourself can make all the difference in allowing you to gather your thoughts and just have some solid downtime. Don't let what you're wearing get in the way of your indoor tanning experience. Does this Spark an idea?
-
Loose Clothing
-
Ideally, you want to head straight home after tanning since you'll be covered in indoor-tanning lotion. Loose clothing doesn't interfere with any bronzers in your tanning lotion, so a good option is a T-shirt and cotton shorts.
Undergarments
-
If you plan on keeping your underwear on during your indoor tanning session, wear a thong so you get as few tan lines as possible. This can be underwear or a thong bikini bottom. You do not have to pack or wear a swimsuit when tanning indoors. The majority of those who regularly tan indoors tan while nude to achieve an even tan all over.
-
Jewelry
-
If you can help it, don't hit the tanning salon with jewelry. You'll have to remove it to tan, and risk forgetting to put it back on after you're done.
Shoes
-
Avoid wearing socks and tennis shoes, as most indoor tanning lotions have bronzer in them. Your best bet is to wear any type of sandal, which won't lead to a lot of friction and rub off the bronzer as it develops after the session.
Hair
-
Keep your hair up and away by packing a hair elastic. Put your hair in a bun on the top of your head, so your neck and back are exposed to get even color.
Goggles
-
Some tanning salons provide them on a session-by-session basis, while others require you purchase your own. They are usually sold at your tanning salon and are required while tanning to shield your eyes from the bright lights and prevent eyesight complications.
