Different Ways to Curl Hair Using a Curling Iron

Hair styles have always been a rage among women, young and old. Hair straighteners and curling irons are easily available to enhance one's look in a short time. For best results, it is best to buy a ceramic curling iron that gives sheen as well as smooths curls with minimum effort.

PreStyling

Make sure your hair is clean and slightly damp. Apply a small dollop of gel to the entire length. Avoid using too much, as it tends to weigh down the hair instead of holding the style for long.

Tight Ringlets

Divide hair into small sections and wrap each long section of hair around the curling rod tightly. Hold for 10 to 15 seconds, then release by loosening the ringlet. Finish with a setting spray.

Loose Curls

Start with slightly damp hair and massage gel through the length of the hair. Divide hair into thick sections; wrap each around the curling rod for 8 to 10 seconds. Spray serum to set.

Wavy Ends

Apply styling wax and straighten the hair halfway from the crown. Wrap the ends in sections around the curling rod tightly for 10 seconds. Spray serum. After they set, run a wide-toothed comb through the curls to finish.

Randonm Waves

Straighten the front of your hair. Divide hair in thick sections; wrap one section around the rod in a clockwise direction. Curl next section in an anticlockwise direction. Repeat in alternate directions and spray serum to set. For a ruffled up look, run your fingers through the curls.
