      Following the government's passge of the "Cash for Clunkers" legislation, a Virginia woman was the first to trade in her vehicle to Hyundai.

      The previous vehicle this woman owned was a Ford Explorer with a city/highway average of 15 mpg. She traded it in for a Hyundai Elantra which. Now, although the program doesn't technically start until July 24th. It is retroactive at this point.

      If anything, I would recommend going to several dealerships and talking with the car sales people just to get some more information on the program and to see what cars you would qualify for under the program.
