Things You'll Need

  • Hot water

  • Bissell cleaner

The Bissell PowerSteamer ProHeat is a carpet cleaner designed to use steam and heated water and cleaning formula to suction up dirt and debris from carpet surfaces. The device uses a turbo brush system and an automatically adjusting formula dispenser that uses the correct amount of cleaning solution for each job. The PowerSteamer ProHeat is available for purchase at many appliance and department stores, as well as online. Using the unit is generally straightforward but should only be done by adults familiar with operating home appliances that use heat and steam to reduce the risk of potential injury.

Step 2

Close the cap tightly and turn over. Set back into the machine base. Lower the device handle and lift out the water tank. Pull the handle toward you to lift off the lid. Fill with hot tap water to the fill mark at the base of the neck. Close the lid and flip the handle backward to secure. Set the water tank back into the machine.

Step 3

Turn the "SmartMix" dial to the desired cleaning setting. Select "Normal" for most cleaning jobs or "High Traffic" if the carpet is particularly soiled. Plug the unit into a power supply and turn the "Power" and "SmartTemp" switches to "On."
