If you have lost the combination to your 1530DCM dial combination lock, Master Lock can provide you with a default combination. The combination will open the lock and will serve as your new combination. In order to obtain a new combination, you must mail Master Lock a notarized copy of a complete Lost Combination Form.

Step 1

Locate the serial number on the back of the Master Lock 1530DCM. Due to security concerns, newer locks no longer have a serial number. If there is not a serial number and you have lost the combination, there is no way to reopen it.

Step 3

Have the form notarized by a certified notary. Many shipping stores, such as UPS stores, have notaries on hand. The notary certifies that you are who you say you are and witnesses you signing the Master Lock Combination Form. You will need to show a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license, to the notary.

Step 4

Step 5

Wait four to six weeks for a replacement or default combination to be mailed to you. The combination will unlock the lock.
