People have been finding creative ways to recycle as they become more conscious about the amount of waste accumulating in landfills. When you receive a gift, for instance, unwrinkle the used tissue paper and make it look brand-new again instead of simply tossing it. Restoring tissue paper to pristine condition takes just a few short minutes and can be done with nothing more than an iron.

Step 2

Preheat the iron to the proper setting for polyester. Set the iron to emit a light amount of steam.

Step 3

Stack three sheets of tissue paper on the ironing board, matching up the corners and edges. Use your hands to smooth them as much as possible.

Step 4

Press the stack with the iron.

Step 5

Flip the stack of tissue over so that the bottom sheet is on the top.

Step 6

Iron the stack again.

Tip

Stacking the sheets makes it easier to iron them without tearing, although you can iron single sheets as well.
