Chicken is one of the most commonly eaten meats and can be prepared in many different ways. Most people defrost the chicken before they cook it. This may not always be practical if you are part of a busy family. You may also just have forgotten to take the chicken out ahead of time. If this happens, all is not lost. You can still cook your chicken frozen.
Things You'll Need
1/2 stick of butter
4 garlic cloves
1 cup of lemon juice
Frozen chicken breasts
Dash of pepper
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and assemble the chicken dish.
Get out your baking dish. Cut the butter in little slices and place them in the dish. The butter will melt quicker this way.
Chop the garlic cloves and toss them into the baking dish. You can use a garlic press if you have one.
Pour the lemon juice into the baking dish and lay the chicken breasts on top. Spoon some of the lemon juice on top of the chicken.
Sprinkle a dash of pepper on top of the chicken breasts and put them in the oven.
Cook the frozen chicken for 45 minutes or until it is no longer pink inside. Then remove the chicken from the oven and place it on a serving plate. Spoon a little of the lemon juice mixture over the top and serve the dish hot.
Add some potatoes and carrots to the baking dish before you put it in the oven and cook the whole meal at the same time.
Use pot holders to remove the chicken from the oven. The baking dish will be very hot. Never cook frozen chicken in a microwave.
