JetBlue offers snacks and meals, and also allows carry-on food items.

JetBlue offers its passengers a variety of free snacks and beverages. Meals are available on certain flights and you can carry on your own food, but there are additional costs and restrictions.

Complimentary Offerings

Passengers aboard a JetBlue aircraft have access to a variety of brand-name snacks and drinks. The selection includes well-known sweet and savory snacks and cold carbonated beverages as well as tea and coffee and different juices such as tomato, cranberry and apple. JetBlue happily offers second helpings.

Boxed Meals

JetBlue offers boxed meals for A320 flights lasting longer than three hours and 45 minutes. There are five different reasonably-priced meals. These boxes contain prepackaged foods pulled together around a theme. For example, the "Cheer Up" box contains three different cheeses, dried fruit and crackers, and is intended to accompany wine.

Alcoholic Beverages

Like most airlines, JetBlue offers alcoholic beverages at an additional cost. Beer selections include old favorites as well as micro-brews. Hard liquor and three varieties of still and sparkling wine round out the adult beverage choices.

Nearly all the complimentary snacks are kosher. The "Shape Up" box meal is kosher. During Passover, JetBlue offers substitute snacks in keeping with dietary needs.

Carry-On Policy

JetBlue passengers are welcome to bring their own food onboard. However, any food items you plan to carry on that were not purchased at a secure boarding area must meet with the Transportation Security Administration's guidelines, and must be able to pass through the airport security checkpoint. Food items must be packaged or in a container, though unpeeled fruit is allowed without any container. No liquids are allowed past security with the exception of baby formula, breast milk and medicine, and these must be declared at the checkpoint.
