Argireline is a skincare product that can be considered an alternative to Botox®. Its purpose is to reduce facial wrinkles. Argireline is applied directly to your skin rather than injected under your skin, as is the case with Botox®. For this reason, it is a less-expensive option.
What Is It?
Argireline is another name for acetyl hexapeptide-3. It is marketed under brand names such as Serutox® and Avotone®. It is a skin-rejuvenation compound that you use on your face to reduce wrinkles. Argireline relaxes the tension in the facial muscles; it is this tension that causes skin to wrinkle.
Argireline is used in skincare products that are manufactured and marketed for the purpose of reducing or eliminating the effects of aging on the skin. This includes the appearance of lines and wrinkles. You apply a small amount, usually about the size of a pea, to your eye area, your forehead and other parts of your face where wrinkles or lines are evident.
It is recommended you use products containing argireline twice a day for the first 30 days, then once a day after that. Following these guidelines will help you avoid problems with dry skin that can sometimes occur with this product.
Serutox is one skincare product that contains argireline. It is manufactured by Realm 7 International Inc. Arigireline is the primary antiaging ingredient in this formula, but it also contains hyaluronic acid, which has the ability to stimulate cell reproduction. Seaweed extract, which acts as a detoxifying agent; distilled water; and the moisturizing agents glycerin and sodium PCA are also found in Serutox®.
During what is known as the loading phase (when you first begin to use Serutox®), apply it to your clean, dry face once in the morning and once in the evening. As soon as you see signs that it is working, you only need apply it once a day.
Avotone® has a special blend of Avotate®, a formulation of Argireline by Melliora, the company that manufactures Avotone®. It also contains avocado oil (which has vitamins A and D) as well as lecithin, potassium and chlorophyll. Chlorophyll helps fight skin aging, while lecithin and vitamin A are both natural antioxidants. Lecithin helps the skin retain moisture; vitamin A acts as a skin protectant.
Apply Avotone® to your clean, dry skin once in the morning and once at night for 30 days, after which you need only apply it once a day. Use a drop about the size of a pea, and spread it on the face and neck until it has been completely absorbed.
