For a parent, a slumber party may cause a sleepless night and vows of "never again!" For a young girl, a slumber party is cause for excitement and a lot of fun. One way to express the fun of a slumber party is to make the invitations fun, too. By looking for unique ways to invite the slumber party guests, you help set the tone for the actual party.

    Slippers

  1. Find a place that sells inexpensive slippers that would fit a young girl's foot. On the bottom of the slipper, write the party information, either directly on the slipper or on a piece of paper taped to the bottom of the slipper. When handing out the slipper invitations, tell the potential guest that she can have the mate to the slipper when she arrives at the party. Now the invitation has turned into a take-home party favor.
  2. Balloons

  3. A balloon invitation would be an easy and unusual idea, especially for a slumber party celebrating a young girl's birthday. On a slip of decorative paper, write the information for the slumber party. Fold up the piece of paper and slip it into the deflated balloon. The invitee can be given the deflated balloon as is, or you can blow up the balloon with helium. The trick for the potential guest will be to pop the balloon to get to the party information.
  4. Small Pillows

  5. Pillows are easy to make, and with the purchase of some fabric glue, you don't even have to sew to make a small pillow for an invitation. Or, if you are not crafty at all, you can buy small travel pillows. Using washable markers, write the party invitation on the pillow or small pillowcase. For a more personalized touch, have your daughter decorate the pillow to make it more festive. Once the party is over, all the guest has to do is wash the pillow or pillowcase and she then has her own travel pillow.
