Although some wrinkling comes with age, many wrinkles occur prematurely and more severely than necessary due to the environment, diet and improper skin care. There are many natural remedies for wrinkle reduction, and most of them already exist in your kitchen. These natural ways to prevent and treat wrinkles are inexpensive and effective. Incorporate these anti-aging tips into your skin care routine.

  1. Sugar

    • A common wrinkle treatment that dermatologists use is a glycolic acid peel. Glycolic acid is an effective way to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and prevent new ones from forming. This acid goes beneath the surface of the skin to repair damage that is not yet visible while also repairing noticeable skin damage.

      Sugar is a good source of glycolic acid and can be utilized as a daily facial scrub. Pour a teaspoon of white or brown sugar into your palm and massage it on the face using circular motions. Let the sugar stay on the face for five minutes and rinse with cool water. This gradual treatment will keep skin smooth and refine the pores without the side effects of a concentrated treatment by the dermatologist.

    Flaxseed oil

    • Flaxseed oil boosts circulation and blood flow to the surface of the skin. This encourages new skin cell growth. Flaxseed oil is also rich in vitamin E. Vitamin E repairs free radical skin damage and reduces the appearance of wrinkles. Flaxseed oil encourages cell regeneration and wrinkles smooth over time.

      Puncture a flaxseed oil capsule and apply the oil directly to fine lines and wrinkles before bed. Take special care to concentrate on the lines between the eyebrows, crow's feet and the lines around the lips.

    Avocados

    • Avocados are one of the most popular beauty fruits. This "alligator pear" contains more nourishing protein and natural oils than any other fruit. Avocados also contain B vitamins for a smooth completion, vitamin A and vitamin E. Vitamin A is essential for moisture balance to keep skin youthful, and vitamin E repairs damaged skin that has formed into wrinkles.

      Use an avocado mask as part of your weekly skin regiment to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and prevent new ones from forming. Mash 1/4 of an avocado and spread the creamy paste over the face. Allow the mask to soak into the pores for 20 minutes and rinse with warm water. Your skin will feel soft and supple.
