God was good to give us onions. It seems that every dish is enhanced by their unique and powerful flavor. Sure, onions have gotten a bad wrap as the potential catalyst of a bad date. Regardless, no one should underestimate the power of the onion. Evidence has suggested that it is effective against the common cold, heart disease, and diabetes. The onion contains anti-inflammatory, anticholesterol, anticancer, and antioxidant components. With all of these benefits, who cares about the poignant side effect of onion breath?
