Indeed, think again O slave to the spliff, O toady of the toke, O burnout of the begrimed bong, for Cannabis not only refers to the foul and disreputable Indica, but to his much more useful and respected brother Sativa, who also goes by the name of Hemp. And it is the steadfastness and reliability of Hemp, which matches and even exceeds that of less storied threads, that we now turn to in order to bind together these delightful bracelet projects.
From amongst our village of experts, we have chosen sewing master Karen Weisman to demonstrate three different styles of beaded hemp bracelets. She talks you through each step in the creation of square and spiral knots as well as a combination of both. By following along with these clips, viewers will soon be able to create their very own hemp masterpiece.
And if you, O productive convert of Sativa, just happen to feel generous toward those indolent Indicans—who can’t seem to accomplish anything but coughing and eating when left to their own dim devices—why not make a gift of one of your proud new Hemp bracelets. Karen Weisman Karen Weisman graduated from Boston University with a degree in Hotel and Food Management. Since then, she has helped a national grocery store chain develop and launch a gourmet food division, worked as a manager at a large catering company, and owned & operated her own her restaurant.
