How to Use a Circular Saw

Learn tips on how to use and maintain a circular saw in this free video clip series.

Series Summary

A circular saw is a power tool with a circular blade that is spun by an attached motor. It is used to precisely straight or beveled (angled) cuts much faster than with a hand saw. Although most are powered by electricity some larger circular saws are actually powered by water turning a turbine. Since the dawn of time man has used wood for everything from housing to heat to paper. Saws have been the principle tool helping in our development and use of this material. The invention of the circular saw in 1813 by Tabitha Babbit make short work of any lumber the sawyers of the time needed to cut. Since then modern technology has made it an even easer and more efficient tool than ever. Some saws today are even cordless, using a rechargeable battery as a power supply.

This is a great video clip series that every handyman or wanna-be handyman should pay close attention to. I covers every aspect of using a circular saw from safety and functionality to how to make specific special cuts. There is even a section on caring for your saw. So before you attack your next project you might want to think twice before picking up that old hand saw. You can thank us later.
