A house concert can be a wonderful way to to gather friends and family together, and listen to live music without dependence on corporate music venues or clubs. There is no real definition of what a house party is, other than a concert or performance held in someones house or back yard. Some general guidelines for house concerts include, but don't require, that donations go directly to the musicians, there is little or no sound system, and usually performers get meal and lodging as part of their compensation.
