Susan Hilferty Susan Hilferty is the owner and founder of Pole Fitness Studio in Miami, Florida. She began her dance studies at age 7 with the School of American Ballet (SAB), and was chosen to perform with The New York City Ballet at the State Theatre in Lincoln Center. Hilferty eventually moved to Miami and co-captained the Miami Hurricane dance and cheerleading team, where she was given “All American” honors. She then danced four seasons with the NBA Miami Heat basketball team, and was appointed co-captain. Hilferty is a certified New York City Ballet Workout instructor and studied with one the leaders in pole dancing fitness schools in Canada and the prior famous showgirl and pole dancing world champion/fitness winner, Fawnia. In 2006, Hilferty founded the Pole Fitness Studio. Her vision is to blend all her forms of dance into a fun, vigorous and healthy workout especially for women. She has appeared with Brooke Hogan on VH1's "Brooke Knows Best."dkdk
