Kundalini Yoga is a meditative and physical practice that is said to create a path of communication from the mind to the body. Kundalini focuses on the spine and endocrine system of the body and the yogic awakening of the mind. Using the energy of the charkas, Kundalini focuses on the awakening of the inner life force that lies dormant in the body. Just like any other form of yoga, breathing patterns, movement, posture and concentration are all important. However, there are expressive movements and utterances and characterological cultivations that are incorporated into this meditative and spiritual practice. Kundalini is not simply a physical exercise, but a spiritual journey.

In this introduction to Kundalini Yoga and meditation, you will learn more about the practice of Kundalini from an expert. Watch a demonstration of the Breath of Fire Pose and the Camel Ride pose in this series. You will see our expert demonstrate waist rolls, neck rolls and the Twist while focusing on the position and posture of the upper chest. See examples of stretches and breathing exercises and watch a video on the Cobra pose. Focus on your breathing and chanting while you perform the Child’s pose. Learn the art of meditating from this Kundalini Yoga instructor.
