Series Summary

American Kenpo Karate, sometimes called Kempo, is a martial art that involves striking the opponent with a swift combination of numerous punches, kicks, and knife hand blows to completely incapacitate an opponent. It was developed by Ed Parker over the years between 1950 and 1990. Parker first learned Kenpo in Hawaii and over the years included many aspects of Chinese martial arts and jiu jitsu, changed Asian terminologies for American, and instructed many students including a man named Joe Palanzo. Palanzo operated the only East Coast Ed Parker Kenpo school from 1970 until 1990 when Ed Parker passed away. Now Mr. Palanzo is a tenth degree black belt in Kenpo, president of the World Wide Kenpo Karate Association, and is recognized as the foremost expert of American Kenpo. Learn American Kenpo Karate from 10th degree black belt, Joe Palanzo, as he demonstrates Kenpo techniques such as how to disarm a gunman, the delayed sword, snapping twig, parting wings, five sword, flashing wings, racking mace, circling wing, detour from doom, aggressive twins, alternating maces, obscure wing, clutching feathers, evading the storm, leaping crane, and the thrusting salute in this free martial arts training video series online.
