Mastering the art of the omelet is not quite the daunting task you might think. While eggs are not always the easiest food to prepare, there are a few tricks which make the procedure considerably less complicated, like clarifying your butter to prevent burning, adding water to your whipped egg mixture to make the omelet fluffier, and adjusting the heat throughout the cooking process.
In this series of free video clips chef Sean Roe will show you how to make an omelet. Our expert demonstrates three varieties of the omelet: classic French style, American style, and an Italian frittata. Sean offers tips on putting together the right ingredients, clarifying your butter, adding water or milk to the eggs to get the right texture, and sautéing and adding ingredients like onions, cheese, ham or whatever you chose to fill your omelet with. He also covers sanitation and methods of preventing cross-contamination when cooking raw eggs. Master the art of the omelet by watching these free video cooking lessons today!
