Hi, my name is Bob Linde. I'm an acupuncture physician and registered herbalist. Today, I'm going to talk to you about herbal sleep aid options for pregnant women. So, there's many different herbs that are great for helping with sleep, but when dealing with pregnancy, it's important that we're very careful about what kinds of things that we ingest, but one of my favorite is actually oat straw. It's generally considered very safe, it's rich in minerals, and it's actually a type of food since it's actually the stalk from oatmeal that we actually harvest the seeds from, and it is a very nutritious dish for us to eat. So, all we need to do is take about two to three tablespoons of oat straw, add those into our French Press, go ahead and pour two cups of boiling water on top of it, let it steep for 10 to 15 minutes. We can go ahead and enjoy one to two cups before we go to sleep at night. So, this should make for a nice, easy, restful sleep, and also you can utilize things like breathing techniques, relaxation and just setting the tone for a comfortable night's sleep. If you're really lucky, you can even maybe talk somebody into giving you a nice back or shoulder rub. If you're in your third trimester, it can be very helpful for just relaxing those tense muscles.
