Hi, I'm Hilary Talbott, acupuncture physician and clinical herbalist. Today, we'll be discussing acupressure for tennis elbow. There are a couple points on the elbow, that can be used to treat elbow pain, or sometimes, what we call tennis elbow. Now, Lung 5 is located on the Lung Meridian. Which means, I'm just going to follow down from the inside of the arm. Kind of, where the red and the white skin meet, until I come to the crease in the elbow. And this point might be kind of tender, if you are experiencing elbow pain. And then, another point that I like to kind of, use together with it, is Triple Burner 10. Triple Burner 10 is actually found between, the meridian is between the fifth and the fourth bones of the hand. And then, we're going to come up to this divot, right here in the elbow. I'm going to kind of pinch both of those points. Now, this combination is great, if the pain is actually radiating up into the shoulder. Now, let's say the pain is going the other way, and it's radiating down into the wrist. I'm might choose to use Lung 5 and stimulate this point, here. And then, use Large Intestine 5. Which, if you flex your thumb, you get this little divot, right here in the wrist. And that is where LI 5 is located. So, once you find that, you can go ahead and relax the thumb. And then, you can stimulate both of these points. Obviously, if you're doing it on yourself, you're going to have to do it one at a time. Or, you can get a loved one to do this for you, if they're nice enough. And there are many other points that we could use on the knee, actually to treat the elbow, believe it or not. But I encourage you to find a local acupuncture physician. Who can show you, if those are appropriate to you. I'm Hilary Talbott, and that was acupressure for tennis elbow.
