Hi, I'm Hilary Talbott, acupuncture physician and clinical herbalist. Today, we will be discussing acupressure for the liver and kidneys. Now, there are lots of different points in the body that can stimulate the liver and kidneys, but I'm going to have our model today demonstrate how to find two on the back that have a direct connection from the spinal nerves into the liver and kidneys. So, what you're going to do is you're going to place your hands on the hips on the high point of the hips and where your thumbs come around to the back, you're going to make a loose fist where your thumbs are, perfect and then you're going to rub up and down in a fast motion until you get to the tops of the back of the ribs, that includes the kidney and the liver points on the back Shu points. After you feel a slight warming sensation, you can stop and then resume a couple minutes later. If you do this a couple of times a day, it will greatly aid with detoxification of the kidney and the liver as well as adrenal burnout. I'm Hilary Talbott, and that was acupressure for the kidneys and liver.
