Hi, my name is Tanya, and I'm an instructor at Gold's Gym. I'm going to show you a few Pilates exercises that you can do that will really sculpt your body and your abdominals. Alright, so we're going to come all the way down, alright so when I think of Pilates, think of the pre-rollup. It's just a great way to start. So, I've got my feet flat, my knees are together, abs are in and don't get discouraged if you can't do this the first time. You want to take your arms over your head as you inhale, exhale, reach for the ceiling. Your chin comes to your chest and you peel yourself up off the floor and then round down as you come all the way down. So try it again, inhale, exhale, chin to chest and you might have to use the legs. Now guys, this one you've got to get the core strength before you're able to come up and it will come, one more, inhale, exhale, chin comes to your chest and you peel yourself up, all the way down one vertebra at a time. So once your down, bring both knees into chest. So get comfortable, naval to spine. So you want to focus on that low back really staying into the floor. Pilates you want to think long and lean. So I've got my legs up. I'm actually going to open them like a pair of scissors, arms down by your side, rotate the leg. So think about a big inflatable ball between your legs and you're just kind of rotating it around, inhale and exhale. That is amazing. That is burning. That's working all the muscles. Don't believe me? Put your hands on your belly, press. Do you feel the muscles moving? That's so cool, two more, last one. Pretty good stuff. Hug the knees in, a simple one that will just sculpt and get you ridiculously strong, a reverse curl, love it. Look, bam, that's it. You're comfortably lying on the floor, you lift slow and lower slow. So you don't want to jerk up off the floor. Lift it and lower it. Relax the face, relax the upper body, two more, one more. Then once you're done with that, open the legs. You've got another pair of scissors coming at you, upper body off the floor or the head can be down and arms can be down. Abs are in, working on the length of the legs and length of the core, three, two, one. Alright, so those are just a few exercises that you can do based on Pilates that's really going to sculpt your middle and get you looking amazing.
