Hi, my name is Tanya, and I'm an Instructor at Golds Gym. I want to show you girls a few great exercises you can do that really focus on the core abdominals. Alright, 'cause then come on down. It's a great idea if you can find a friend and you can do it together. So, I'm going to come down, all the way down; bring knees to chest and I want you thinking about, okay, low back. I want you to think about pressing that low back into the floor and I'm just going to start with scissor legs. So, grab your leg, usually girls are fairly fun, flexible; I'm going to lower the other one. You can keep your head on the floor, I'm just starting like this, with scissor legs. This is flexibility as well as core strength. You can lift the upper body off the floor and you can even race your friend. So, if you could speed it up, just makes it fun. That's all the abdominals right down on the center, pretty great. Okay. Another one? Feet flat; this is one is great to have a partner. So, you want to have the feet flat, knees hip distance. Think about climbing a mountain or climbing a rope. So, pretend there's a rope right here; so one hand over the other, chin to chest and I want you to climb that mountain and try to keep your feet flat on the floor. That's your challenge. Come down one vertebrae at a time and do it again. One hand over the other, come on, come on; this is when you all start to get it all, but it's fantastic 'cause you're working out together. Slide down; one more time. Chin to chest; you can even use your legs if you can get up, then come all the way down. Last one; take your both legs up, ride the bicycle. This is also good too. So, you want to keep the upper body on the floor. This is really targeting core strength. So you're having fun, you're getting a great workout, then reverse it. Whew! And again, you can race your friend; so you're just going faster. Whew! Reverse it one more time; maybe do it like for a minute. Do each of those for a minute. So, those are three great exercises that target right down the middle; you have fun, you get a good workout. That's how you girls do it.
