The next technique that we will cover will be a palm heel strike, and this uses the heel of the palm, the lower part of the palm right here. The strike starts the same way as a punch. We teach in beginners to develop the muscles to punch. We always start from the hip and striking and coming over. Notice I'm rotating at the last second. Again this is part of our classical traditional training, strengthens the arms and prepares the muscles for use as a punching and striking adjunct. Palm heel strike is good for the facial area this way. You stand the least chance of injuring your hand by doing a palm heel strike so if you strike this way, striking cartilage, even if you hit a tooth, you're probably not going to hurt yourself that badly. The final technique, the final beginner basic technique palm heel strike from here, the heel of the palm striking the center of the target. The heel of the palm striking the center of the target.
