Hello, my name is Courtney Gomez. I've been a skin care specialist and makeup artist for upwards of five years. And, in this video, we'll be discussing how to get rid of peeling skin. For this, you're going to need a cup, coffee grounds, green tea, Vitamin E oil, and an unscented moisturizer. Peeling skin can happen for a multitude of reasons. You may have stayed out in the sun too long, burnt yourself, or maybe the air is dry, and you've been chapped. It could be that you are dehydrated, or lacking moisture in the skin. So, we'll be discussing all different ways to help prevent and treat this problem. So, peeling skin is dead skin, basically, on the skin, on the top layer of the skin. It's something that you don't really need there. Your skin has layers, and the top layer is dead, but when it starts peeling off, it's noticeable, it's annoying, you want to pick at it, I understand. But, the best way to get rid of it is actually through exfoliation, and whether this has happened because you were in the sun, or because you're chapped from the weather, I always like to use coffee grounds. It smells nice, the caffeine is really great for healing the skin. So, you really do both the exfoliating, and then healing of the skin, which will prevent further peeling. In this mixture, I have dropped a whole capsule of Vitamin E oil, which I have pricked and poured in, coffee grounds that have already been used, I've made coffee with, I made coffee this morning, these are the same grounds from them. And then, I have actually added green tea leaves in there, too. Green tea leaves are another great way for antioxidants and healing of the skin. So, you'll use this like you would a exfoliant that you got from the drugstore. So, here I have, just pretending this is the area that's peeling. Just light exfoliation, you don't need a lot of pressure, because the coffee grounds being uneven, they do a lot of exfoliating. You don't want to do it too hard, because you don't want to tear any pores. But, they're rather large, so I don't expect them to tear pores. So, after some light exfoliation, you're going to want to wash off. From here, you're going to apply your moisturizer. Having a good, thick, moisturizer is probably one of the best ways to prevent peeling skin. Peeling skin often has to do with dehydration on the skin, or lack of moisture on the skin. So, get a good moisturizer, you can use a thicker one at night, and a lighter one during the day. But, it's something you're going to want to do every day, and then definitely every time you wash. Thank you for watching. Again, my name is Courtney Gomez, and in this video we discussed how to get rid of peeling skin.
