Hello. I'm Jeanette Conner. I have been a visual artist for eight-plus years. Today, I'm going to teach you how to make homemade Christmas envelopes. For this project, you're going to need glue stick, to and from tags (I just have these simple little brown ones so I can decorate them) and a nice, colorful Christmas paper. I really like this Christmas plaid because it reminds me of a Christmas package which is what we're going to make this Christmas envelope look like. So first you're going to start by folding it diagonally in half but you're not going to crease it. You're just going to find the center and make a little pinch. And that's just a reference mark. Then you're going to take the corners and you're going to fold them in to the center. Just line them up and fold them in. Just like that. Then you're going to take you bottom part and you're going to fold it, not all the way up, about half way up. And just crease it like that and then you're going to fold it so that it lines up here. And it doesn't really matter where you place it too much but you want it up there far enough that whatever you put inside is going to be secure. After you make those folds, you can take your glue stick. So after you make those folds, you going to take your glue stick and you're going to get a good coating along all the places where the paper is going to be sticking down. Just make sure that you don't get any on the inside because you don't want your envelope to get sticky. On these corners is a really great place and then right in here. So once you got enough glue stick on there just press it down and stick it down. Make sure you can still get in there. And if you have any spots that are coming up like I have one over here, I'm just going to get some extra glue and really put that down. Over here too. Then you're going to take your top and going to find a good spot. Also crease it. And you just want to glue this down. Fold it and there you go. And then on the front side, you going to take your to and from tags and you're going to place them here and there. And you're going to glue these guys down as well. And that way you can write your return and send address or whatever little thing you want to write. To-Mom and Dad from Santa Clause. You're going to take your glitter glue and you're just going to go over where the hole is for the tag and make yourself a bow. I'm going to use my red glitter glue here just to change it up. Nice big fat bow. So then when you're all done with that, you write your to and your from information and put your card or present or whatever inside and glue it up. You might want to tape it up for extra security and put a good cute little sticker here. And then that is how you make your homemade Christmas envelope. This was Jeanette Conner, and today you learned how to make homemade Christmas envelopes.
