Hi, this is Jason Morgan with Muscleworx Fitness in Carolina Beach, North Carolina. Today, we're going to discuss abdominal workouts that you can do at home. It's extremely easy to chisel your abs at home, probably moreso than even going to the gym. You're at home, you don't have to worry about taking your food with you, Notice, food is the first thing I mention. You've got to have a sound nutritional plan in place. If you're at home, your nutrition's right there in the refrigerator, ready to grab both pre and post workout. You got your sound nutritional plan in place, you're ready to crank out some abdominal work. Every exercise that you can do at the gym, barring a big, huge, expensive abdominal machine you an do at home for virtually no money, or very little money. You've got crunches, oblique twists, broomstick twist, line leg lifts, sit ups, flutter kicks, ton of different things that you can do. A couple very easy exercises to begin with at home are just a standard floor crunch, where you lay down with your knees bent, hands either crossed across your chest or with your head relaxed and your fingers, resting in your fingers. And, you just raise your shoulders up 30 degrees from the floor. Concentrate on squeezing the abdominal muscles and towards you spine to lift the shoulders up off the floor. In the same position, without having to really move, put your hands down either by your side at a 45, or if you have some lower back issues, stick your hands under your hips, extend your legs out straight, and just flutter kick. Take your feet about six inches off the ground, and kick back and forth, just a little flutter kick like that. If you're a little bit more advanced, you can increase it into a scissor kick, so the leg kick distance is just a little bit wider than the flutter kick. And, those are just a few exercises that you can do to help sculpt your abs at home.
