Hi, I'm Amy Newman, fitness expert, creator of The Perfect 10 Workout, and I'm going to show you some exercises for your chest that you can do in yoga. We're going to start off doing the camel. Sit up tall on my knees, and I'm going to reach back with one hand for my heel, bringing my fingers back on to my foot and the other hand on the other. Opening up the rib cage, head is back, body is flexed but relaxed and breath is flowing, deep, inhale, fill your lungs up while your chest is opened up, exhaling slow. You want to hold this for a long time and a minute is probably a good enough amount of time. That is a long time when you're in this pose. Breathe deep in, exhale slow and then bring your chin down to your chest to get out of the pose, slowly come up and then we're going to work on the crescent moon. Bring your hands down and one leg goes in between the feet, stretch the other leg as far back as you can with the top of your foot on the mat. Slide a little forward, now, from this pose you want to feel balanced. Hips are square, shoulders are even, neck is long. Come in to Namaste, slowly lift your arms up inhaling, look up, exhale, arch back into crescent moon. Breathe, breathe into those lungs, deeply, exhaling completely. Empty your mind, don't hold your breath. And then come back to Namaste and back down, bringing your knee underneath into a sitting position, relax and then do the other leg. I'm Amy Newman. Thank you for joining me as I show you some yoga poses that you can do to open up your chest.
