Hi, I'm Amy Newman, fitness expert, creator of The Perfect 10 Workout, and I'm going to show you some Pilates training exercises. When training in Pilates, what you want to do first is warm things up. So, let's sit and with our feet flat, knees bent, hands right underneath the knees, what we're going to do is we're going to round out our back and dive in between those knees, lifting up, inhaling deeply, lean back, tuck round out, squeeze your abs, exhale and come back through. We're getting our breath and our motions in sync together. So, as you round out, you're exhaling as you're lifting. You're inhaling, deep breathing, exhale, rounding out over exaggerating the motions, lifting up, inhaling, stretching up, exhaling, rounding out. You can do more kinds of warming up with reaching around and leaning back. Stretching and exhaling, come back, inhale, reach out, exhale, come in, inhale, reach out, exhale out, reach in, inhale. Same thing going the other direction, warming up those abs, getting your body nice and warmed up for the exercise training. After you've warmed up then you want to stretch, bring your arms around take in a deep deep breath, inhaling, reach out and forward roll. Reaching out as far as you can, flex your feet, stretch your spine and then gently start to pulse. Neck is long, shoulders are down. You don't want to have your shoulders up into your ears, you want your neck pulled out, reaching out, out and then you can do like swimming motions reaching one arm in one direction, one arm in the other. Breathing, stretching, don't hold your breath, exhale into every exertion that you do. You can then bring your elbows down. Do a little bit of a side crunch, working the obliques, the sides of your abdominals. Breathing yet stretching at the same time. Then do a breast stroke move just like you would in swimming, inhale, exhale, inhale, you would be lifting your head out of the water there, exhale, blowing the bubbles, just like if you were in the water, inhale, exhale, inhale and exhale. Very good. Then open up your legs and sit up tall, twist, reach the opposite hand to foot, come up, inhale, the other hand to the other foot, exhale, inhale, stretching and working on those abs at the same time, exhaling, inhale deep breath, exhale completely.
