This is John Galipault from Worthington, Ohio Lacrosse, talking about stick requirements. A major stick requirement is to make sure that the pocket is not too deep. To tell if the pocket is too deep, there cannot be space between the bottom of the plastic and the top of the Lacrosse ball. This is a legal Lacrosse pocket. This is an example of an illegal pocket. There is space between the bottom of the plastic and the top of the Lacrosse ball. The total length of the head and shaft for an attacker midfielder must be between 40 and 42 inches. One of the other sticks you'll see on the field is a defensive stick. The length of the head and the shaft must be between 42 and 72 inches.
