Hi, I'm Brandon Snider. I'm here at The Downtown Athletic Club in Little Rock Arkansas, and today I'm going to be doing a calf exercise by simply using dumbbells. So, for women you want to grab either five to ten pound weights, and for men you want to grab about 15 to 20 just for starters. So, what you want to do is bring your feet about parallel apart. You want to roll your shoulders down and back together. I'm going to simply exhale, come up on the toes and inhale roll back down. Exhale up, inhale roll back down. Another good thing that you could do when you come down and when you roll down, put your weight kind of back into your heels and just simply lift your toes to help you with balance, exhale up, inhale roll down, lift those toes just slightly. Roll up, as high as you can and come down. It's important to train your calves because they attach to your knee joint and your ankles and it helps propel your movement whether you're walking or running.
