Hi, this is Victoria Warfel with DreamDogz Training, located in Gainesville, Florida. We're here to talk about how to get your dog to stop chasing the vacuum. You want to start with a tired dog with this. You know, you don't want to do it first thing in the morning, best to do it after a nice long walk or a nice play time. Claim the vacuum cleaner as yours, your body language means a lot to your dog. When you vacuum normally, you push it away from you and you hold onto the very edge of it and it looks like it's attacking you, so your dog is just defending you when he goes after it. Whereas, if you move with your body, your dog isn't going to feel like the vacuum is attacking you, more like the vacuum is a part of you, and not be as concerned whenever you do start vacuuming in your house.
