I love adding a scarf to a basic outfit to make it really pop. Hi, I'm Kelly Machbitz, your Tampa Bay fashion expert, and today I'm going to show you different ways of tying a scarf. For our first look, I'm going to use an oblong scarf, and I'm going to wrap it around the neck. I'm going to tie a simple loose knot on one end, leaving about three inches or so at the bottom. The other end I'm going to pick up front the bottom, and I'm going to make an accordion fold, that's over and under using my fingers until you get all the way up to the shoulder, and then you're going to grab your accordion pleat, you're going to feed it through the knot from the underside going upward and you're going to tighten the knot and then you're going to pull it off to the side. There we have a beautiful bow. You can put that over a jacket or a blouse. It looks fantastic. For our next look, I am going to take the same scarf, a nice oblong scarf and I'm going to start by wrapping it around the neck from the front bringing the two ends to the back. I'm just going to simply cross them in back, bringing the two ends forward. We're going to make a small knot in front like so and then you're going to pull the loop end up over the knot to conceal it. And that's another great way to add a scarf to your outfit and for the third look we're going to turn it into a belt. And you're simply going to take your oblong scarf and we're going to feed it through the belt loops of the pants going all the way around and you can tie this in the front or on the side. I really like this look tied off to the side and here we've added a punch of color to a basic outfit. That's different ways to tie a scarf. I'm Kelly Machbitz, your Tampa Bay fashion expert.
