Hello, I'm Mike Rhodes, House Pro here at Ten Pin Alley, Wilmington, North Carolina, and we're going to discuss today about how to choose a proper bowling ball weight. For this you will need a Bryan bowling balls, bowling lanes. If you get your first bowling ball, that's pretty exciting. That means you're ready to take you game up to the next level. But, it is really important to select the proper weight because a, too heavy of a bowling ball can stress especially an older person; they're, them and children I worry about the most or anybody with any special needs. What I recommend is when you're open bowling, you'll see that the weight of the bowling ball is just above the finger grips. Now, it's extraordinarily rare for a ball to fit you completely perfect. These are just general less drillings that they put on these house balls. But, find one that is very comfortable to you and then add a pound because once a ball is drill perfectly to your hand, it's going to feel a little bit lighter than these house balls. Once you find that, talk to your house pro and he'll watch you. The reason you want to use the heaviest ball you can comfortably grip comfortably, because the heavier the ball, the more pinch you will knock down. But once again, you don't want to get so heavy that is going to throw you out of a line or even possibly pull a muscles. And that's how you choose the proper weight in a bowling ball.
