Hi, I'm Sue Walker and I'm going to show you how to properly measure flour for baking. To measure flour, you will need measuring cups or measuring spoons, your flour and a flat surface knife. The first thing you want to do is scoop up your flour in your measuring cup or your measuring spoon. Then you take your knife and you pat the flour down, and then level it off. When you're baking, it's very important to use the exact amount of flour that your recipe calls for. For instance, if your recipe calls for one and a half cups of flour, you'll want to measure one cup and then measure one half cup. In baking, recipes are very precise, and if you don't use the precise amount they call for, your recipe won't turn out. And that is how to properly measure flour for baking.
