"Hi! I'm Kelly Karnetsky, website designer of SpringsHosting.com. Today I'm going to show you how to create a website with Dreamweaver. In order to create a website with Dreamweaver, you're going to need the following software program: Adobe Dreamweaver. You can download Adobe Dreamweaver for both Windows and Mac at Adobe.com. Alright, so assuming that you have Dreamweaver downloaded, we're going to go ahead and start with step one which is to launch the program. So my program is currently launching. So now we got Dreamweaver launched. Now step two is we need to create a new document in Dreamweaver. Think of it kind of like a new document in Word or something. So we're going to start with the template. So we're going to click on Create New and then under that, More. And so we pull up our new document stuff where we can create template. We want to do the page type as HTML. And the layout, we're going to go ahead into 2 column fixed, left side bar, header and footer. So we click on that. We can see the preview, we're going to say Create. So now we've got our document created. And you can see here that it kind of looks like a Word document with the header then we've got a side bar, and then where our main content is, and then our footer. Step three is to make the appropriate changes that you need to do. So you can either start messing with the stuff and change up the header, saying you know, My Personal Website. Or you can go ahead and start looking at the code. Now you can look at the code by just saying Code and then seeing all the code or you can do Split view which is what I like to do. So you can see the code and then see the actual changes. So if we want to see where this code is, we can highlight right here and then we'd look up here and there it is inside the actual code. So you can see here and change it to whatever you want up here. So we'll go ahead and highlight it and we'll say, This is my personal website. And we click down here in the preview and you can see that it has changed. You can do the same thing with all the content and you can see it all right there. So step four is going to be to save the actual file. So after we're done we need to go up to File and then Save. We can save it to our desktop as Index.html. You always want to start off with your first page being the index file, so Index.html. So step five is to preview it in a web browser so let's go ahead and do that. The shortcut key is F12 and it will bring it up into a browser. Now as you can see here, you can see our finished product, what it looks like. So you've got your content, the side bar. And then this is what it look like if you uploaded it to a website. I'm Kelly Karnetsky with SpringsHosting.com and you just learned how to create a website with Dreamweaver."
