"Hello, I'm Dr. Robert Hernandez. I'm a Licensed Psychologist; President and Founder of La Farfalla Retreat House. Let's talk about how to cope with the death of a loved one. Losing a significant other in your life can feel like your whole world is coming down on you. First of all, give yourself sometime to really cope without in grief. Crying or keeping a journal of the person; even talking to the person as if they're still there are all ways that are very helpful in dealing. In my professional opinion, the grieving and the loss is very natural and it's a way that we need to cope with. Many different rituals also help with dealing with the loss of a loved one. That's why we have funerals and that's why we have different memorial services, to really memorize and make the person valuable because they have spent a great deal of their life in our live and they've contributed a great enormous to who we are. Give yourself time to grieve."
