"Hello! I'm Stephen Taylor, endurance coach and fitness trainer through my company STtrainer.com. I'm here to teach you how to swim with fins. The materials you will need for this include a pair of swim fins that fit your feet correctly. Swim fins come in various lengths, ranging from long to medium to short. For most swimmers, a medium length of swim fin is appropriate for this exercise. What you will do is put the fins on your feet and swim normally. It's easy to over rely on the fins by kicking excessively hard. The thing to do is to attempt to keep normal correct kicking technique which involves keeping your knees mostly straight and kicking from the hips. This should provide more than enough propulsion so that you are able to get the benefits of the fins while practicing correct swimming technique. In conclusion, swimming with fins is an excellent training tool. Make sure when you're kicking with fins that you're attempting to simulate a correct swim kick and you'll have an excellent time with this drill."
