Hello I'm image consultant Susan Bigsby at susanbigsby.com. In this clip I'm going to show you how to wear a men's turtleneck. In my experience most men look better in a mock turtleneck versus a regular turtleneck with the difference, a mock turtleneck only comes up to here and it doesn't fold back down. A turtleneck is a much longer neck and actually turns back down but most men because of their Adam's apple and the way their neck is shaped look better in a mock turtleneck because it doesn't engulf their neck quite as much. So a mock turtleneck is going to be a little bit more flattering to the majority of men. It's such a great chic casual classic look too because you can wear this with jeans. You can wear it with nice slacks. You can put a sport coat over it and take it to a whole nother level and a black turtleneck is always going to be a wardrobe essential for every man. You can go into any climate never ever pack your suitcase without this type of sweater in your suitcase because you never know when the weather is going to turn. Now rather than dressing down the black turtleneck now we're going to pick it up a notch and dress it up a little bit. Put it with a great pair of black slacks, black dress slacks for a head to toe black look and there isn't anything more sleek than that. You could put it with dark gray trousers or a tweed trouser or anything that you would want to. In this case I decided to put him in all black so that we could dress him up even more by adding his tweed sport coat and there isn't anywhere that he can't go in this look.
